Boeri Italy : 1950
The company began in 1950 when Franco Boeri, a well known and highly skilled orthopaedic surgeon in Milan, took it upon himself to create a protective bicycle helmet for his younger brother Alessandro. It was an immediate success and shortly the brothers started to manufacture and sell these helmets. Market demands soon increased, and the Boeri brothers widened their production to include safety helmets for skiers, motorcyclists, rock climbers and race car drivers. They were primarily concerned with safety and comfortable fit, and invested heavily in these areas. In just a few years the firm grew and prospered in the European community.

The first awards were not long in coming. Four time winners of the Quality Prize, two time recipients of the Golden Hercules trophy, prizes for ski fashion and awards from as far away as Texas. The long string of awards eventually led to the coveted Cavalier of the Italian Republic award.

Work continued for years and years with just one goal: continuous improvements to the product to satisfy rapidly growing consumer demand. Many more investments were made and the manufacturing facility grew to 8000 sq. meters, Boeri quickly developed a reputation for its wide range of models and colors. Many celebrities of sport, show and business, all top names from their respective disciplines, agree that Boeri products are the epitome of safety and quality.

The Second Generation : 1985
Franco Boeri had no children, but Alessandro had two: Claudia and Alberto. Claudia began working for the company in 1985, with Alberto following only 3 years later.

Claudia and Alberto immersed themselves in the business, starting at the bottom. They worked in every sector of the company, learning all aspects of production, safety standards, documentation, suppliers, clients, marketing, advertising, sponsorships, and more.

They were born into this business, accompanying the family on business trips to see and learn about distributors and trade shows. They are fiercely proud of this business, as it was taught to them by their father, Alessandro, for many years.

The transition from the first to the second generation of leadership has been a smooth, gradual process. When Claudia and Alberto began to desire new technology and machinery for the factory, the family did not refuse, but rather supported them in these new endeavours. This determination to continuously improve surely is, at least in part, the reason for Boeri’s continued success.

These new investments opened the door to new systems for production, and new technologically advanced products.

Each year the company changed production schemes and machinery to allow new innovations and consistently better performance.

In 2001 they opened a new second facility, of 8000 sq. meters, with new offices to facilitate the company’s continued growth.


This new building hosts the assembly and production process, while the raw material production was kept in the original factory.

BOERI USA 2004

Boeri USA Inc., the U.S. division of Boeri Italy, recently opened our new US facility located at 12 South Park Street in Cambridge, NY 12816. The Boeri USA team is comprised of a dedicated group of ski industry veterans who share a passion for supplying the US consumers with the best quality helmets available. We have spent our careers immersed in a sport we love, while providing quality, innovative helmets that protect and perform better than any others available.
