Boeri President Speaks on Helmets | Celebrity Death Causes Helmet Flood | Frequently Asked Questions |
Boeri President Speaks on Helmets by Marc P. Hauser - President -MPH Associates Inc. Distributor for Boeri Ski & Snowboard Helmets MPH Associates Inc. has distributed Boeri Helmets for the past nine years. Over that period we have been very proactive in building awareness as to the availability and viability of helmets specific to the sports of skiing and snowboarding. Our message to skiers and snowboarders is very simple. Ski and Snowboard specific Helmets are consistent with the technology associated with every other piece of performance equipment that we use in these sports. It is unfortunate that it takes something as tragic as the untimely deaths such high profile individuals as Michael Kennedy and Sonny Bono to create widespread, immediate interest in our products. In making the choice to wear a helmet the baseline may be added protection, but there are other definite factors that should also motivate the decision. Helmets provide both performance advantages as well as mental advantages. Reduced distraction, enhanced concentration and focus translate into a better experience on the mountain. To us at MPH it has seemed obvious for many years that Boeri helmets are a far better option than traditional ski hats for activities that combine speed with stationary and moving obstacles. It is our position, and has been before the recent incidents, that in the near future helmets specific to the sports of Skiing and Snowboarding will be normal equipment for enthusiasts of these sports. Currently there is wide availability of rental helmets at various resorts around the nation, and the interest level has been increasing steadily over the past several seasons. In addition to rentals, certain ski areas have assumed a more aggressive posture of offering Boeri helmets as acomplimentary addition to a ski or towards junior programs, but more and more interest among adults is becoming apparent every season. Boeri has been producing helmets for use in winter sports for over 35 years. They are specifically a protective headgear manufacturer, and are very famous for their motorcycle, Motorsport Competition, and Formula 1 helmet production in Europe. As a recognized leader in the sports helmet industry, Boeri Helmet is taking the lead in numerous awareness campaigns centered around informing the public as to the availability and viability of helmets specific to winter sports.
Celebrity Death Causes Helmet Flood There is never a dull moment at MPH. With the ski and snowboarding helmet marketplace already gaining speed we were all looking for a smooth winter to take many turns. January came as a shock to us all when Michael Kennedy and Sonny Bono were killed while skiing. This tragic event sparked a surge in the demand for ski and snowboarding helmets. The main office was going non-stop to catch up with shops, consumers, and the press calling day and night. We were quoted, photo-graphed, and written about in every kind of publications from the Wall Street Journal to CNN. What does this mean for the helmet marketplace? It means the every Tom, Dick and Harry company will be telling you to buy their ski or snowboarding helmet (that very well could be a motorcycle helmet with snowflake graphics). My advice to a future ski and snowboard helmet owner is: 1. Buy a quality helmet from a reputable, experienced manufacturer, like Boeri. 2. Fit is the most important aspect when purchasing a helmet. Boeri Helmets are offered in nine different models. Each model caters to a range of head shapes and sizes. Check out the fit master section for more information on fit. 3. Make sure the helmet is winter specific. Boeri Ski and Snowboarding helmets are made for the winter, designed to keep out cold, wind, and snow. The most important thing is to have fun and to be safe on the slopes. Skiing and snowboarding for years have brought families together, enemies to peace, and couples to romance. Make it even better with a Boeri Helmet.
